646f9e108c Impenetrable fortresses, SWAT trained security forces, the occasional piece of malfunctioning gear; it's all in a day's work for corporate thief Veronica Sharpe (Cassidy Freeman). But business turns anything but usual when she's hired by her underworld boss (Michael T. Weiss) to steal an exotic codebreaker from a high-security skyscraper. After breaching the tower's defenses, Veronica's morality and skill are put to the ultimate test when she's confronted with the dark reality of the codebreaker itself. Loaded withmuch humoredge-of-your-seat action, and a dynamic cast featuring Adam Gregor and Skye McCole Bartusiak, Razor Sharp is one thrill ride that's criminal to miss. "Razor Sharp" is a 25-minute live action short film from the United States in the English language. The writer and director is Marcus Perry and this is probably his most known work. It is from 2006, so it had its 10th anniversary last year. Lead actress is the somewhat famous Cassidy Freeman and another name that may strike familiar to some is (now deceased) child actress Skye McCole Bartusiak, who plays probably the biggest supporting character. Thiks film is 100% action. Occasional throw-ins of drama and comedy, maybe even emotion, aren't working out at all. The plot and story did extremely little for methe film is so blatantly over the top with regards to almost everything: special effects, line delivery and the impact it unsuccessfully is trying to make. The ending makes it look a bitif they considered making a sequel or even a show based on these characters, but eventually I am not sad at all it did not work out because it was a very forgettable watch. Only recommended to those who occasionally enjoy pointless action movies and big explosions with little story. I myself am not surprised that Perry did not break through beyond short films in the last decade. Thumbs down from me for this one. This action short was really well-done. Attention to detail was there throughout. I thought the script was well-written with timely points where humor was used. Really cool special effects I have not seen before. For example the head-cam following the victim to the ground. Also the elevator shaft scenes were executed nicely. Its amazing the product they were able to get from such a limited budget. Very impressive. Cassidy Freeman is beautifully cast and did a great job too with the sarcasm. I would totally see this in a full feature if it were expanded. Definitely the best short-film I've seen. Hopefully we can see more from this group.
